Pregnancy Ponderings

Over the last 10 and some odd weeks, I have noticed something strange happening to me. Of course, I have a human growing inside of me, which is strange indeed. But that's not it.

I am becoming, dear reader, a baby myself.

I take frequent naps.

I eat at least every two hours.

I go to the bathroom often.

I spit up.

I cry to communicate my feelings.

I am a baby.

And I can't help but think that this is all part of the plan. The plan to give me compassion for my own baby when he or she arrives.

Because let me tell you something.

Being a baby can be rough.

Just so long as it's not in your pants. :)

Though, truth be told, that can happen. So. Nevermind.

True that, Kim.

You make a good point Abbs. I had never thought of it that way.

Heartburn is the only thing I can think of that doesn't relate to that analogy.

Maybe not. Babies spit up due to gas in their stomach or esophagus. Same thing.

You are a genius.

I hope you are feeling ok. Milk it for all it is worth my friend. Take naps, eat what you crave, and get your feet rubbed as often as possible. You deserve it.

Just wait until you are huge and the baby inside you is constantly pushing against your fragile bladder. You might feel compelled to stock up on adult diapers. Just saying.

The crying part isn't much fun--but the eating every two hours can be!

Tis true my friend. Just wait until you're near the end you you wake up 2 or 3 times in the middle of the night because you're hungry or you have to go to the bathroom. Do note the time, I'm living proof my friend. At least no one is changing a diaper or cleaning my sheets.
