Pregnancy Ponderings

In this edition of pregnancy ponderings:

-Gnarly Dreams

Last night I dreamt that my sister was my obstetrician.

I was at an appointment and when she was done examining me she said, "You're pregnant."

"I know," I told her, "isn't it obvious?"

"No, you're pregnant again. With a new baby."

"A new baby? I...I don't understand."

"Yes, it's a condition called 'new baby'. It's rare, but it does happen. You will continue to carry the baby you've been carrying, but you will also be carrying this new baby, who is only a few weeks gestational age."

"Well, will 'new baby' be alright?"

"In 50% of the cases, the new baby has heart defects. The only way we can know if 'new baby' is alright is by testing your husband's sperm."

"Uh...okay."

"And we have a conjugal flying volkswagon for that. So here is a cup and the keys."

If you had a new baby, does that mean you would have to go through morning sickness again? Those pregnancy dreams are so weird!

I once dreamed that my sister pushed me off the hospital bed while I was in labor. The worst part was that I had already had the epidural, so I had to drag my body across the floor to tell my mom. She just looked at me and said, "Leave your sister alone. She's tired." Traumatizing.

"conjugal flying Volkswagon"? You seriously even use great vocabulary words in your dreams!Hilarious! Your dreams are beating any dream I EVER had when I was pregnant. Either that or I have permanently blocked them due to the traumatizing effects they had. Hmmmmm...

I read this and could NOT stop laughing. I had a dream the other night (well nightmare really) that I gave birth to my baby and she weighed 20 pounds. The dreams are getting stranger by the night.

Speaking of strange dreams, Caleb had one the other night, and I thought of you immediately. :) He dreamed he was trying out for the high school dance team and had to come up with a routine on the fly. He was picking out costumes and music and said he practiced them in the line of McDonald's before going to tryouts.

I'm not kidding. I haven't laughed that hard in AGES.
