Yesterday I finished the last central square on my latest quilt project and could not figure out how I wanted the layout to look. My mom helped me arrange one when she was here visiting, but I tried a couple of others just to see what they looked like, and now I can't decide which one I like best. So, what do you think?
At random?
Semi-random?
Or The Rainbow Effect?
I have a little poll set up on the right side of the blog, so go vote, would ya?
I have had so much fun working on this. There are two outer borders yet to be made; one has applique vines and flowers and the other is a sawtooth pattern. I am piecing and quilting this by hand, and have plans to enter it in the County Fair this summer. I'm so dang domestic I can hardly stand it.
Can't wait to see what you all vote on. Thanks for your help!
Oh, and did I mention that a certain someone turned ONE last month?
Well, she did.

ooh! a post! the quilt is gorgeous, simply gorgeous. you are amazing and domestic, and we need to live closer. okay? okay. (i voted)
I love the quilt, love the blog, love the baby, and love you! I voted for the semi, because it caught my eye first and it reminds me of a happy garden!
He he, the poll looks pretty even so far. Doesn't make your decision much easier ;)
The quilt is awesome. I wouldn't even dream of attempting that.
I really like all three. It's so pretty!
I vote for numero uno.
Also, I'm diggin' the new blog layout. You'll have to teach me in your wise ways since I'm technologically deficient.
Also, also -- that baby of yours is beautiful. And weren't you just pregnant? How can she possibly be a year old?
As I kid I loved to find patterns in things, so there has to be some pattern, but if it's too obvious that's no fun. And if you do the rainbow there will be a top and a bottom and you'll get wear patterns.
So I'm in the semi-regular camp.
Have fun with it! I haven't had the guts or the workspace to take on a quilt in years (and I only ever machine quilted). You can be proud of your beautiful product. Oh, and the quilt too ;)
Oh, pinwheels are one of my favorite quilt blocks because they are so sweet and cheery. Is this quilt for wrapping a cute little one-year-old in? Are you quilting it as well?
You are so talented! I love the quilt and I hope everything works out for the fair. I can't believe how fast your little girl has grown. What a sweetie!
Cute cute quilt!!
As for the sleeping, we read the book babywise. The principles are pretty basic. It's basically getting them on a constant routine during the day that is parent-directed. Eric's brother and sis in law used it for all of their kids and they all sleep like angels. It's great!
