Flat Stanley Comes For A Visit, Gets More Cheese Than He Expected

My niece sent me a friend in the mail. His name is Flat Stanley. He's short, light, and handsome and smells like Crayola. When I pulled him out of the envelope, I was smitten. But Flat Stanley was taken. Camryn, at some point in his creation, had held him down and tattooed her name across his back so he (and I) wouldn't forget just exactly who he belonged to.

And it did look a little like a crime scene. At any rate, Flat Stanley knows how to party.

He partied in some blackberry brambles at Nye Beach...
He partied with a herd of wild elk chillin' on the side of the road...He partied with the
Nestucca River Outfitters...And he partied at the Tillamook Cheese Factory...Where he met a cow...Celebrated the cheese factory's 100th anniversary...Ate a grilled cheese sandwich called 'The Tillamooker'...And a giant ice cream cone...He made friends with our friends, C.J. and Jackie, who were beginning to look a little lactose intolerant...And he took a great picture of Brian and me...Thanks Camryn, for sending your Flat Stanley up to visit us. He was a real ham. He got a little homesick towards the end there though, so he is on his way back to you with these pictures and one or two more in his nap sack.

And to you, Flat Stanley, I know you're the one that stole the towels.

I'm on to you, Mister.

How freaking cute is that? I love that, I love the commercial where the dad takes the pics with his kids stuffed animal. Too funny. He is a fine creation however. Glad you're posting again lady. Hope the last semester doesn't have you too down.

Flat Stanley looks like he would be a blast to be around! So enthusiastic about everything! Looks like he had an awesome time in Oregon! In fact, I'm a little jealous of him...

We had a Flat Stanley last year as well. Great fun. I am a bit jealous of yours I have to say. The Tilamook Cheese Factory? Heaven. I need to come visit!

BTW...change my blog address! I miss your comments! I am starting to regret changing addresses...it is a bit lonely.

We're wondering if Stanley was flattened because he got between us and our Tillamook Cheese? He wouldn't be the first. Nevertheless, we liked your creative take on a visit to the Tillamook Cheese Factory so much that we made it our Post of the Day at www.tillamookfanclub.com this past weekend.
Stop by and check it out. But tell Stanley to keep his mitts off our curds, and off your towels.
Best,

Orb, the font size on your blog posts is a little on the big side. Could you shrink it down a little? Thanks.
