Into The Wild?

I watched "Into The Wild" last night with a friend. I can understand wanting to walk out into the wild. On a family road trip through the redwoods last year I looked over at my father-in-law and said, "Don't you just want to walk out into that? Don't you want to go stand in that stream?" "No." was the answer. Here's the thing, I am milk toast. I do not even walk out into my backyard without making sure I look halfway decent. Wouldn't want to upset the neighbors. (They put a bra on, so should I, right?) I would love to go exploring the wilds, maybe for about an hour. But then the sun would start to go down, and I would get cold and hungry and start to wonder where my next meal was coming from. Would I survive in the wild?

This is about as wild as I get. On a rented boat. In a stocked lake. And did I eat fish for dinner? Nay, I say. But hamburgers from the lodge. Survive in the wild? No, I would be toast.

Dude, how did you find this? I really wasn't telling anyone about it because well, I suck at it. As you can see, just one lousy little post. I must say though, that I was reading your blog as well as Pioneer Woman's and you both inspired me. This one posty post is the result. I miss you buddy. I can't wait till Friday!

:) Sorry. I randomly checked my stats for the site (a typepad feature) and saw your link and was all like, SWEET. I won't link to it on my site if you don't want, though I thoroughly enjoyed yours. :) Also, how cute is Chris?!

So I read this book and I was too could see wanting to do what he did, just not to that extreme. Was the movie good? The book had too much of the authors opinion throughout the book.

Hey Heather! Thanks for making me feel cool and visiting my blog. I really loved the movie. There are some F-bombs and some nudity though. The only thing I would have changed about the movie was that Vince Vaughan (sp?) had a small role in it, while everyone else was pretty much no names. The rest of the people seemed like they could have been the actual people from the story, while Vince stuck out like a sore thumb.
